The American legion Auxiliary Department of North Dakota hosts an Americanism Essay Contest. this is a state level contest where Adlyn Neumiller was chosen as the winner. Adlyn received an achievement certificate and a $25 gift card. The essay has now been sent on to the NW Division for consideration at the national level. The national winners will be announced prior to the National Auxiliary Convention in August.
Shauna Dubuque stated the essay "showed the true meaning of patriotism." She went on to state that the essays from this area "will do well honoring our nation in the future."
