Congratulations to the CMC Cougars Dance Team. They competed in the NDADD State Dance Competition at Minot State University this weekend. Dancers from 38 teams across the state competed in jazz, hip hop, high kick, pom, and novelty in Class A & B varsity, JV, and Junior High divisions.
The CMC Cougars took home 2nd 🥈 in Hip Hop, 3rd 🥉 in Jazz, 4th in Pom along with a Team Academic Achievement Award.
Way to go girls!!

On Thursday, Laura Tweeten was recognized for her lifelong commitment and contributions to the Washburn Cardinals and Southern McLean Roughriders athletics. Laura has had several roles over the last 35 years which include SMR Track Coach, SMR Cross Country Coach, and Cardinals Assistant Girls Basketball Coach. Laura's career has been filled with teaching life lessons, building character, instilling discipline, and fostering a sense of community in her athletes. Laura received a Lifetime Achievement Plaque to honor all she has done for our athletic programs.

Congratulations to the following Grade 7-12 students who made the honor roll for semester 1! To qualify for the A Honor Roll, a student earned a GPA higher than a 93.5%. Students who made the B Honor Roll earned a GPA higher than an 86.5% . All students on both honor rolls received a letter grade of a C or higher in each class as well. We’re so proud of our students for their hard work and dedication to excellence!

Yesterday, North Dakota Farm Bureau and McLean County Deputy Rick Richard's brought the SIDNE (simulated impaired driving experience) car and goggles to demonstrate to our freshmen class the dangers of driving impaired or distracted. Thank you both for providing the valuable experience and life lesson!
