Please see the attached image for the adjusted Semester 1 Test Schedule for students in Grades 7-12.
All students must engage with virtual learning today, Thursday, December 18 for all classes. Classroom material will be posted by 9:30 AM. Teachers will be available for student questions from 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM
All tests will take place on Friday, December 19 and Monday, December 22. Students in grades 10-12 that have test exemptions only need to and must attend the designated time period for their test that they declared to take.
If students will not be in attendance for their semester tests please email Mr. Eriksson so arrangements can be made.

Thursday, 12/18/25: While visibility fluctuates, the high winds remain a serious concern—especially for the safety of our bus routes. For this reason, school will move to virtual learning today. WPS will begin two hours late tomorrow, 12/18. Classes will begin at 10:15 AM. Final call on what weather will do will happen in the morning. The roads will be icy, and the high winds will make bus travel treacherous. We will see what tomorrow morning brings...I'm err'ing on the safe side tonight. Your kiddos are too important. Thanks! Unfortunately we will have to cancel the cornhole tournament that is scheduled for
tomorrow 12/17/25. Thank you for all the community organizations that were willing to support our students. We will not be re-scheduling.

The 8th grade girls had an amazing Junior High season! They ended it taking 3rd place in their JH Tournament. Every game was neck and neck and it could have gone either way. To say that I am proud would be an understatement.
If there was a spirit award, we would take it home. The 7th grade girls and Washburn fans did an excellent job pumping up our girls and represented our community well!
It is a great day to be a Cardinal!

Semester 1 Tests for Grades 7-12 will take place next week Thursday December 18 through Monday December 22. Please see the image for dates and times scheduled to tests of classes.
Grades 10-12 can be exempt from semester tests (must take one test in core subject) . Please see the image for test exemptions.
Students are able to receive additional help each day once their tests ends at 2:20. If no additional help is needed, students are dismissed for the remainder of the day. Buses will dismiss at normal times though.
School will dismiss for all grades PreK-12 for the holiday break at 2:20 on Monday December 22. Buses will depart by 2:30

Congratulations to our grades 7-12 students of the month for November! Memphis (12th), Dan (9th), and Danica (8th) are exemplary students! Oscar (9th) was named our CARDINALS of the month for November for reflective. He has made a positive impact with younger students and his peers. Fantastic job to these students!
