Significant weather will be seriously impacting the Washburn area as early as midnight-2 AM Saturday night and Sunday morning. With the pending weather, we WILL still have prom but on an adjusted schedule as follows: Pictures: Beginning at 5 PM Grand March: 7 PM Doors Lock: 8 PM Prom Ends: 10 PM After Prom Prizes and Festivities (at the school): 10-11:30 PM Everyone Out: 11:30 PM You will note, after prom is no longer traveling to Bismarck and will be held right at the school. Parents, please note: Prom Couples who did not sign up for post-prom events will be out of the school at 10 PM and couples that did sign up will be out of the school at 11:30 PM. Please make sure you have a coordination plan to ensure their safety once they leave the school. To the upperclassmen, I know the plans you worked hard at facilitating not coming to full fruition is disappointing. I’m always so cognizant of your “firsts” and “lasts,” and I am sorry this will not go completely as you had it imagined. Weather makes decisions difficult, yet my priority is student safety. Here’s to a fun prom evening all the same. Thank you. ~Dr. Penny
