On Tuesday, the 4th-6th graders participated in track and field day. Everyone ran the 100 meter dash and did the long jump, frisbee throw, and football throw. Students could choose to participate in the 200 meter dash, 400 meter, 4x100 meter relay and 4x200 meter relay.

From the Small Towns Big Dreams Foundation regarding their football camp hosted by a native North Dakotan who plays in the NFL! The 2nd annual Cordell Volson Small Towns Big Dreams Football Camp registration is now open! Get registered by June 10th. June 21st and June 22nd! Start times for the grade groups are the same both days. 3rd-5th Grades - 10:00 AM -12:00 PM 6th-8th Grades - 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM 9th-12th Grades - 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM. Head to our website to get registered! https://www.smalltownsfoundation.com/blank-2 A few things to note while registering: 1. To register make sure you select the correct age group for the camper participating. 2. Please make sure you select a t-shirt size for your child in order for them to get a camp t-shirt, there are youth and adult size options. 3. *Grades 9-12th campers only*- please make sure you’re selecting your offensive and defensive positions as well on registration. 4. *IMPORTANT ALL CAMPERS*- there is a participant waiver link under the camp registration tab on the website. The waiver must be printed and signed by parent/legal guardian. The waiver MUST be turned in on the first day of camp in order for camper to be able to participate. Walk-Off Seals The Deal In Washburn Varsity Cardinals Victory Over Harvey Varsity Hornets By GameChanger Media It came down to the wire on Tuesday, as Washburn Varsity Cardinals grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 7-6, over Harvey Varsity Hornets. The game was tied at six in the bottom of the seventh when Elizabeth Neumiller singled, scoring one run. Harvey Varsity Hornets got on the board in the first inning after Keanna Volk grounded out, scoring two runs. Harvey Varsity Hornets extended their early lead with two runs in the top of the third thanks to RBI ground outs by Volk and Ava Kara. Bre Laning grounded out, which helped Washburn Varsity Cardinals tie the game at four in the bottom of the fourth. An error gave Harvey Varsity Hornets the lead, 5-4, in the top of the fifth. Kya Kulzer grounded out, which helped Washburn Varsity Cardinals tie the game at five in the bottom of the fifth. A passed ball gave Harvey Varsity Hornets the lead, 6-5, in the top of the sixth. Washburn Varsity Cardinals jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the seventh inning after Kulzer walked, and Neumiller singled, each scoring one run. Kulzer earned the win for Washburn Varsity Cardinals. They allowed four hits and six runs (three earned) over seven innings, striking out 16 and walking five. Britain Kittleson took the loss for Harvey Varsity Hornets. They went six and one-third innings, giving up seven runs (six earned) on seven hits, striking out four and walking five. Maddie Jaeger, Ashlyn Schmitz, and Laning each collected two hits for Washburn Varsity Cardinals. Schmitz, Kulzer, Neumiller, and Laning each drove in one run for Washburn Varsity Cardinals. Schmitz paced Washburn Varsity Cardinals with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, collecting five walks for the game. Schmitz and Laning each stole multiple bases for Washburn Varsity Cardinals. Washburn Varsity Cardinals stole eight bases in the game. Volk provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Harvey Varsity Hornets with two runs batted in. Number nine hitter, Bristol Fike, showed the depth of Harvey Varsity Hornets's lineup, by leading them with two hits in three at bats. Kittleson paced Harvey Varsity Hornets with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, collecting five walks for the game. Kittleson stole two bases. Harvey Varsity Hornets stole four bases in the game.
