It’s a GREAT day to be a Cardinal. Sonja Moe, Communications Manager of McLean Electric Cooperative (MEC), notified us that they have assisted in raising $15,000 to be used for our Science Classrooms within our building project. The $15,000 donation comes from multiple contributors to include MEC for $3,000, the Rural Development Finance Corporation for $3,000; Basin Electric Power Cooperative for $3,000; and CoBank for $6,000.
On behalf of Washburn Public School, we sure send our gratitude for the generous sponsorship toward our science classroom renovations.

Mr. Harvey and Mrs. Feist's third grade classes enjoyed a beautiful afternoon of walking to the Nettle Creek Schoolhouse. The McLean County Museum curator, Rhonda Johnson, taught the students all about the local history and allowed the students to see what it was like going to a one room school.
