Registration for K-12 students will be held on Wednesday, August 9th in the Commons area where hours will be 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM and 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM as well as Thursday, August 10th in the Commons area where hours will be 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM and 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Please note that Mr. Eriksson is not available until noon each of those two days.
Preschool registration will be on August 10th and will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the lower library (near the Commons area). In addition, you will need to use Door 4 (Elementary wing door) for access into the school due to the construction.
Open House for students and their stakeholders will be held on August 21st. High School is from 2-4 PM; Elementary is from 4-6 PM.
All 93 students are ready and playing at the 2023 McLean County band camp! These students will put on a (very) short concert Friday at 11:30am
McLean County Beginners Band Camp next week! Wednesday, August 2nd - Friday, August 4th 9:00am to noon. Checkin will be Wednesday, August 2nd at 8:30am in the commons and a concert Friday, August 4th at approximately 11:30 at Washburn Public School.
PreSchool Registration will be on August 10th from 5-7pm in the Lower Library. Registration is for children at least 4 years old by July 31, 2023. Please bring a copy of your child's official birth certificate.
Washburn Fall Parents Meeting
On Tuesday, August 1st there will be a mandatory parent meeting for all parents who have a child in grades 7-12 and playing a fall sport. This meeting fulfills the requirement of attending a fall, winter or spring sports parents meeting.

Meeting will feature a taped address for Washburn Parents from Lynn Kachmarik on “Athletic Parenting” and a live presentation from Sanford Athletic Trainer Lacey Fiest.
After the meeting Fall Varsity Coaches will have their individual sports specific meetings.

Attention Cardinals! It was a great day to do FFA. The Washburn FFA Chapter attended the State FFA Convention in Fargo from June 5th through the 8th those attending and their awards were as follows: Samanth Gieser received her State FFA Degree and received a gold in food science CDE, Kalyn Braasch received a silver in small animal care CDE, Jada Vetter received a bronze in nursery/landscape CDE, and Berandt Olafson received a silver in basic ag. mechanics CDE. Not pictured Conner Erber also received his State FFA Degree.
