Washburn Public School is very grateful for American Legion Post # 12's generosity over the years and is proud to share their community project in supporting the Clint Hill Memorial at Washburn's Memorial Park.

Clint Hill, a native son and U.S. Secret Service Agent, devoted his life to protecting our nation with courage and selflessness. His story continues to inspire generations to serve with honor and integrity.

We are grateful to the American Legion Post #12 for leading this effort. Here is the information for their project. There has been several books written about Clint Hill. The School's Library has ordered them for their library.

There will be no school on Monday, September 22 for staff professional development.

The September 18th Southern McLean Cross Country Meet @ Painted Woods is postponed until October 14.

Homecoming Coronation 2025! Congratulations to King Oscar and Queen Maggie!

Trapshooting tonight at 4:00 is optional due to the forecast of incoming weather, coaches will be at the turtle lake gun club in the event the weather holds off or someone wants to shoot in the rain, if lightning is in the area practice will be canceled

2025 Homecoming Coronation will be held tomorrow at 3:00 in the new gym. It will also be shown on the school's Facebook page. Happy Homecoming Week!

Roughrider Cross Country added six more State qualifiers today! Congratulations to Rissy, Avery, Lacy, Valerio, Caiden, and Theron! Additionally, the trio of Dan, Easton, and Beckett continue their amazing seasons with top-20 individual finishes and leading the boys to the top Class B team score in their division! “Today the girls played in Flasher again for JV/JH and played out of their shoes!! We had two 1sts and a 3rd! I followed their groups and saw some absolute amazing shots and a very close eagle chance! I am so proud of how far these ladies have come. Congratulations to our placers: Ava Schmidt 1st in JV, Alexandria Arnold T3rd in JV and Olivia Schmidt T1st in JH! Keep getting those Personal Bests girls!!! After the round, of course, we had to stop at Starbucks for a treat since they had to get up at 4:30 AM today!🥰⛳️ ~Coach Herzog

Southern McLean Homecoming Parade Invitation!

Washburn Public School is excited to celebrate Homecoming 2025, and we’d love for YOU to be part of the fun!

We are inviting local businesses, organizations, churches, and service groups to join our Homecoming Parade. This is a great way to show your community spirit and support our students!

Parade Date: September 19

Location/Route: Staging Area Washburn’s New Bus Barn (East of School/South of Krause’s)

Time: 2:30 PM
