The Washburn FFA Chapter attended the state FFA CDEs on Minot on Monday, March 24th. Here are the following results: The Ag. Sales team received a bronze award. The Southern McLean Track and Field team hosted their first meet of the season and got their first State Qualifier! Congratulations to Brady for qualifying in the pole vault!

Great opening meet, Roughriders!

Congratulations to the Washburn-Wilton speech team for another terrific showing at the South Heart Last Chance Meet. A "Last Chance" meet is typically where students who have not qualified for state in more than one event can compete to have a chance to go to state. About half of our team competed at this meet. Hannah Klabunde - 4th in Serious Interp, Lily Gardner - 2nd in Humorous Interp, Ethan Swanson - 4th in Dramatic Interp, Willow Holter - Top Novice in Dramatic Interp, Vivian Weber - 6th in Impromptu Speaking, and Berandt Olafson - 5th in Speech to Persuade. It was a great day to be a Cardinal!

School on Wednesday, March 26 will dismiss at 12:15 for staff professional development.

Yesterday we had a group of students compete at the region Acalympics event in Linton. The Junior High team (grades 7-9) placed fourth! Congratulations to both teams for representing our team very well!
