Although it wasn't the team results we were hoping for, there are still some positives from today's State Cross Country Meet in Jamestown. Congratulations to Daniel Neumiller for taking 15th overall and earning All State honors! The girls finished in 17th place while the boys finished in 11th. Congratulations to all the runners and thank you to the seniors: Aubrey, Beckett, and Jaime. This was a great season, Roughriders! We'll be back stronger next year! Junior High students have a great day representing Washburn at the 1st ever Region 7 JH Honor Band! The festival featured some of the best JH musicians from 8 schools in our region who met today for the first time to rehearse and put on a concert!

Thank you to the Student Council for putting together a great pep rally for the Southern McLean Roughrider cross country and football teams! Good luck to the cross country team today at the state meet in Jamestown. Good luck to the football team as they travel to Velva tomorrow for the first round of playoffs. Washburn FCCLA is selling Halloween Balloons! Balloons will be delivered to students/teachers on Friday, October 31st. Orders with payments can be dropped off to the office. If you don't attend school, orders can be placed and picked up on Friday, October 31st. Happy Halloween!

The Washburn Public Library is looking for three volunteers to help with the Haunted Hallway that will be Friday, October 31. Help will be needed from 5:30 to 8:30 at the Memorial Hall. Please contact the Kandi at the Washburn Public Library at 701-462-8180 if you are interested in helping!

Parent Teacher Conferences will be held tonight Wednesday, October 22nd (3:30 - 6:00) and Thursday, October 23rd (3:30 - 7:00). Parents/guardians for elementary students can sign up using the link that was previously sent. High School conferences is an open house format. We are excited to see everyone attend!
