On Tuesday, the Roughriders held their final regular-season cross country meet at Painted Woods golf course. It was a tune-up meet for most of the kids and a last chance to qualify for a few others. Congratulations to Natalie and Brooklyn for qualifying for state! Thank you Jaime, Aubrey, and Beckett for all your hard work over the years - you three seniors will be greatly missed next year!
The younger Roughriders compete at Middle School State tomorrow at McDowell Dam, while all the state qualifiers will race at the varsity State meet next Friday in Jamestown! Go Roughriders!

The Washburn Lions are offering a free eye screening on Oct. 19th between 10am and 1 pm for ages 6 months -6 years.

Washburn Public School will have Parent Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, October 22nd (3:30 - 6:00) and Thursday, October 23rd (3:30 - 7:00). Congratulations to the Washburn C Squad girls volleyball team on placing 2nd in the Silver Division at the Flasher Tournament today.
At the West Region Cross Country Championships today in Beulah, the Roughrider girls team finished in 8th (out of 32 teams) and the boys finished in 4th. Coach Stamstad wants to highlight just how much heart and fight the kids had today on a difficult course. A special congratulations to Daniel Neumiller for earning All-Region honors (as a freshman)! Congratulations to all the athletes and thank you to all the spectators who came out to support the teams today!
