Washburn High School had great group of FFA members at State Convention this year. We are a very young group consisting of students who just finished their 7th, 8th or 9th grade year. They had a great convention winning 4 gold medals, along with several silver and bronze awards and multiple team awards. The future is looking bright for Washburn FFA.

Congratulations to Washburn CS Softball player Kya Kulzer on being named to the 2024 North Dakota All State Team! Well deserved Kya!

Please note that the school office is currently surrounded by demolition activities, and we deem it unsafe for the public to enter the school hallways. Should you need anything at the school or from the office, please call 701-462-3221 and leave a message. We will get back to you as soon as possible. Gym activities can still use Door 17 and enter the gym through the classroom. Under no circumstances should folks go beyond the gym into the hallways. Thank you for your patience during this time. ~Dr. Penny

Welcome Back Coach Mark Jennings!
Coach Jennings will be the new head volleyball coach at Washburn Public School
Coach Jennings started playing volleyball recreationally in college in the early 1990’s and hasn't stopped. After college, Coach Jennings played many years of competitive men’s volleyball and co-ed volleyball in the Bismarck area and competed in tournaments around the tri-state area.
Coach Jennings had the opportunity to start his coaching career working with elementary volleyball players. He then moved on to coach for 6 seasons as the Varsity coach at Washburn High School. Mark had the opportunity to coach and watch that program grow to one of the largest programs participation wise. So, after taking a year off, Coach Jennings is excited to be back and look forward to working with the wonderful student athletes of the Washburn High School Volleyball program.
