The Roughrider Football teams season ended today at Velva to a very talented #2 ranked Velva DA Garrison. Only the second post season team in Southern McLean coop history. Great Job Roughriders!
Good luck to the Southern McLean Roughriders football team as they take on the Aggies at 2:00 today in Velva. Thank you to the Sheriff Department, the Ambulance crew, and the Washburn Firefighters for the sendoff this morning!
Saturday morning at approximately 10:30 AM there will be a Car Parade/Escort send off as our Roughrider Football Team leaves for the state football playoffs in Velva. The bus will start at the football parking lot go by the front of the school and down through Main Street.

State Cross Country 2024:
The Roughrider Boys came into the meet ranked 11th and ran lights out to finish in 7th! This is the highest team finish for the boys in the history of the Southern McLean co-op!!! Cody, Easton, and Daniel ran lifetime PRs!
The girls came in ranked 12th and finished in 11th! Chev, Brooke, Lacy, Ciarra, and Briella ran PRs!
For both teams to exceed our pre-meet rankings shows how ready the athletes were to run their best. Coach Stamstad and the whole Roughrider community is beyond proud of each and every single athlete today! They ran with heart and they ran for each other. It was a special day.
To Kari, Cody, and Quinton: thank you. Your Senior leadership has been amazing. You have shown the other athletes what it means to work hard, sacrifice, and lead by example. You will be greatly missed next year.
