Another win for Southern McLean!!! Olivia Schmidt took 3rd  out of 20 today at a varsity meet in Flasher. I want to give a shout out to the four girls today that trekked 18 holes in their first varsity tournament ever. It was a very hot day and they did their very hardest to keep a great attitude. If you’ve ever been to Louse Creek Country Club, not only is it a hidden gem…  it’s a semi-difficult course with a lot of trees and water. They held their own and had a great time. Thank you to Kelly Hetzel and crew for hosting such a nice day. We had another fun photo shoot to make us laugh before venturing home. Look at those happy smiles!! What a long, great day!  Congrats Olivia! Coach Herzog

As we prepare for the new school year, we want to remind students and families of our personal communication policy. A North Dakota law passed in spring of 2025 now prohibits student personal communication device, including cell phones, smart watches, and bluetooth devices, use during instructional time. Washburn Public School District has adopted a policy and created guidelines. Please take a moment to read the full policy and the Questions and Answers document available at the provided link for more details. https://5il.co/3mtur We’re here to support students and families communicating with one another. Please reach out with any questions. Sincerely, Washburn Public School Administration

Our Music Boosters program is a parent-led organization that supports our band and choir programs through fundraising and community involvement. If your child is in band or choir, you’re automatically a member—there’s no sign-up and no membership fee. What we do ask for is a little of your time. We run concessions at some of our home sporting events and meet every other month to plan and organize. That time makes a real difference! Why do we ask for time instead of money? Because we believe volunteering is more meaningful. When we work concessions, we raise money for our music programs while also giving something back to our school and community. Giving is an important part of our philosophy, and we want our students to see that their families are willing to invest their time in making their school and community better. You don’t need any special skills or experience—just a willingness to help! Sign up for some up coming Volleyball / Football Games at this link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050A48AEAC2EA6FD0-64769799-20262027#/ Thanks as always for your support!
