We had a great turnout at our FCA Luncheon and are excited about what’s ahead! FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) focuses on building faith, leadership, and community, and students learned that a “huddle” is a small group time to connect, grow, and support one another. Evan, our FCA representative, shared a Bible verse to give students a glimpse of what next year will look like and even led a fun game. We’re looking forward to the opportunity for our students to work Evan and our staff! The excitement is already building—especially for those Washburn Cardinal FCA bracelets and stickers!

The Class of 2026 is surrounded by incredible people — and this year, we were able to honored them. Through the Difference Maker Program, each senior was able to select one person who made a meaningful impact on their life, from Pre‑K to graduation. These are the mentors, family members, teachers, and community leaders who lifted them up, pushed them forward, and believed in their future. Thank you, Difference Makers. Our school and community are stronger because of you.

May 6th marked the start of a new tradition at Washburn — the Difference Maker Program. Each senior selected someone who made a meaningful impact on their life, and together we shared stories, smiles, and moments that will stay with us long after graduation. Thank you to every Difference Maker who continues to lift our students higher.
A huge thank‑you to the Dakota Leathernecks Detachment #1419 for their generous donation and to B&K Wild Prairie Creations for bringing our Difference Maker T‑shirts to life. Your support helped make this moment possible for the Class of 2026 — a chance to honor the people who shaped their journey. We’re grateful for you.
