The McLean County Beginner Band Camp wrapped up another year with a successful playground concert!
This camp started around 20 years ago with 35 kids. Today just over 70!
A special thanks to our high school student leaders Danica, Jada, and Lily for their help!

The McLean county band camp is underway!
72 5th graders from around the area are getting their start in the band world.
See their first ever concert this Thursday, August 6 at 11:30am behind the school at the elementary playground. (Weather permitting) Bring a lawn chair!
The Trzpuc-Casavant Benefit will continue as planned at the Legion on August 12, 2026 from 6-9 PM.
There is a free will dinner put on by the Lions Club. The Legion will have the lounge open. St. Edwin has given us use of their bingo set to play games of bingo. The Methodist Church will be hosting a bake sale. AND, there are a TON of items for silent auction. Silent Auction will be 6-8:45 PM for a tally to the bidders to be finished by 9 PM.

Reminder:
All Washburn athletes must have their new physical downloaded to Bound before the first practice.
Due to maintenance issues at the Wilton football field, all home JH, JV, and Varsity football games and practices will be played in Washburn until further notice.
The Wilton Park Board is actively working to address these issues to ensure a safe playing surface for both football and softball moving forward.

Grades 9-12 student schedules are available to view in Infinite Campus once a parent portal is created. Any schedule changes must be made prior to paying for course fees. Mr. Eriksson will be available (from 9:00 - 11:00 AM and 2:00 - 6:00 PM) to make changes at in-person registration on Monday, August 3rd. Please email any questions regarding schedules.
As we transition to Infinite Campus, you may notice temporary schedule errors, such as an incorrect teacher name or a missing course title. Please know your student has been scheduled for classes, and our staff is actively working to correct these items. Thank you for your patience as we finalize schedules before open house.

Registration Requirements
All required registration forms must be completed through Infinite Campus. In addition, families will need to complete the required information on the Cardinal Connect board located on the Washburn Public School website. • Credit card payments (online or in person) will incur a 4% processing fee.
• Bank account (ACH/e-check) transactions will incur a $0.35 flat processing fee.

Football camp for Grades 5-8 will still take place tonight from 5:30-8:00. Those participating are to meet at the bus barn near the football field in Washburn to begin camp. Reminder that grades 7-8 will check out gear after camp.

To help registration go as smoothly as possible, please note the following:
• Returning Families: Watch your email for an invitation to create your Infinite Campus Parent Portal account. Once your account has been created, you will be able to complete your student's online registration.
• New Families: A registration link is available on the Washburn Public School website. After completing the initial registration, you will receive information to set up your Infinite Campus Parent Portal account.
Student portal accounts will be activated once school begins. Parents of students in grades 5–12 will be able to view their student's class schedule through the Parent Portal after creating their account and once schedules have been finalized.
