5th grade Beginning Band Camp just around the corner! Wed., Aug 6th - Fri., Aug 8th. *If parents have not already set up instrument rentals through Eckroth Music it is recommended to get those done ASAP to ensure your child has an instrument for the start of camp.

Grades 7-12 Student schedules are available in PowerSchool. Please note: schedules may still change as we balance class sizes and try to accommodate all student requests. All schedules must be approved by administration. If any issues are not addressed before school starts, your schedule may be adjusted for you. New students may not see their schedules in PowerSchool yet but will soon. Schedule changes appointment dates are to be determined. Please email Mr. Eriksson if you have any questions about your schedule for the time being. A few reminders: New legislation on electronic devices will be enforced—more info to come. Students should begin limiting device use now to prepare. Be sure to complete any summer school or online coursework. Enjoy the rest of your summer!

Grades 7-12 mandatory parent-player virtual meeting July 31 at 6:15 (link will be provided at a later date)
First Day of Practice for Grades 9-12 is August 7 at 8:00 AM
First Day of Practice for Grades 7 & 8 is August at 3:30 PM

5/6 grade football update We will be handing out equipment July 23, 2025, from 5:00-6:30 pm at Underwood City Hall.  Please come to complete the registration form, and bring two separate checks – $125.00 registration fee and $100.00 equipment deposit fee.  (Your equipment deposit fee will be returned to you at the end of the season upon the return of all equipment) Any questions please contact Derek Laning at 701-460-7072

Exciting News!!! Cyril Nagurski has been named the new head coach for WWCS Baseball. CYRIL NAGURSKI was born in Bismarck but spent his first few years at Washburn school pre-3rd grade before moving full time to Bismarck, so he is familiar with the Washburn community. Coach Nagurski played hockey, football, baseball throughout his high school career at Bismarck Century. After high school, Coach Nagurski played junior hockey in Minnesota and spent a season in Colorado being the baseball coach at Florence High school. Coach Nagurski moved back home to play college hockey at the University of Mary with Coach Horner. After his time at the University of Mary, he had a short pro hockey career this last season. Coach C currently is a learning center teacher at Mandan High school and last year was WWCS assistant baseball coach. Coach Nagurski is very excited to lead the WWCS baseball program.

There will no open gym this week Monday, June 30 - Thursday, July 3. Open gym will start again on July 7th. Have a great 4th of July!!
