Busy day for Washburn Tomorrow! The annual McLean County Music Festival takes over the school Saturday, March 7th 9am-2:30pm Check out some 5th-8th grade solo and ensembles in the morning then head to Minot to cheer on the Lady Cardinals in the afternoon!

There will be a parent meeting for 5/6 grade boys basketball on Tuesday, March 10th at 6:00 pm in the school lunchroom. Please make sure your child has a physical and has turned it in to Mr. Jacobson.

Reminder to all who signed up for the spring ACT test!! The spring test will be on Tuesday, March 24th beginning at 8:30 AM. Please remember to bring your Chromebook, charger, calculator, pencil, and your $55 test fee. Test fees can be cash or a check payable to Washburn Public School.

Just a reminder that registration closes on the 23rd at noon.  If you are going to shoot this year please get registered.  If you know someone who wants to shoot and needs help getting registered have them contact me.  You can call or text Matt Knutson @ 701-339-0641.  If you are a new shooter, or parent/guardian of a new shooter, don’t hesitate to reach out with questions.

Congratulations to senior Elizabeth Neumiller for making the academic all state team! Elizabeth made the Gold Team, which is the highest distinction possible. She is also the first Washburn student since 2015 to make the Gold Team! There will be a digital presentation of her award between the games of the Class B Girls basketball semifinals this Friday, March 6 (in between the 1:00 and 2:45 games). WDAY and Forum Communications will be broadcasting the presentation. This is a major accomplishment for Elizabeth and we are very proud of her efforts!!

Please congratulate Berandt Olafson for finishing 3rd in Automotive Sales at the North Dakota State DECA conference. Finishing in the top 3 also qualified him for ICDC in Atlanta, Georgia this April.

Elementary volleyball starts next Wednesday, March 11th after school. There is a sign-up sheet in both the offices and sports physicals must be done before you can practice.
