Sanford ATR Schedule for January.

It's a GREAT day to be a Cardinal! Here is the FINAL Gratitude Observance of the Holiday Season. Because Gratitude can "fill our cups"--these winners chose a cup of their choice! The submissions were as follows:
Student: Delyla Holznagel submitted by a staff member: “Delyla wrote several gratitude slips to others. In addition, she had asked to start breakfast time story hour for littles when our lunchroom was incomplete to help with the chaos. I appreciate her natural leadership and empathy for others!”
Student Jada Vetter submitted by a staff member: “I appreciate Jada’s work ethic and strong character. She is a role model and a “care bear” wrapped up in one package. Thanks for being a great Cardinal!”
Teacher Tracy Jaeger submitted by a staff member: “Mrs. Jaeger always makes sure her students have everything they need for supplies. In a gratitude project like this one, she writes out the most slips…it’s like words are her “love language.” Tracy wants kids to feel included in all aspects of education and puts in many hours behind the scenes to make it happen!”
Teacher Tracy Minh submitted by a staff member: “Mrs. Minh is very creative and puts in a lot of time to enhance our environment and make it better! From fun theme days for dress up and games to exceptional elementary music concerts to anything in between…it is so very much appreciated.”
I want to thank all who participated in the gratitude challenge! There were over 500 gratitude sentiments written online and in person...what a great way to lead up to the holidays. My sincerest appreciation for those who chose to participate in this project.

Semester 1 Tests for Grades 7-12 will be held Wednesday, December 18 through Friday, December 20. Please see the image for dates and times scheduled to tests of classes.
Students are able to receive additional help each day once their tests ends at 2:20. If no additional help is needed, students are dismissed for the remainder of the day. After the final test on Friday activities will be held throughout the remainder of the day. Students will be dismissed at the end of those activities for the holiday break (approximately 3:00). Buses will run at normal times each day. Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors are welcomed to participate in activities but are not required to. Please call the school or email Mr. Eriksson with any questions.

Many students are coming on and off the bus without winter gear. Please make sure your student has warm clothing in case a bus stalls. If you are unable to afford it, contact Dr. Penny, and she will see to it your student has what he/she needs to stay warm. Thank you.

Juniors and Seniors taking college classes next semester, make sure to register for your classes! Please see Mrs. Leingang for the course codes to ensure you are getting into the correct classes!!
